Jim Blackwolf Ramirez (So.Ute/Aztec/Spanish) Chairman of the CSIC Board of Directors
Jim Blackwolf Ramirez is of So.Ute/Aztec/Spanish decent and has been married to Heidie for the passed 34 years. They have two grown daughters Sindy/Jim and Jaclyn, and one granddaughter “Liberty”. Jim is a US Army Veteran and studied Business Management at Metro State College and University of Southern Colorado. Jim is the Postmaster of Peyton, CO., and served as the Executive Vice President of the Colorado League of Postmasters and Area-7 Diversity Team Leader for the US Postal Service. He currently serves as a Board Member of the Rock Ledge Ranch Living History Association, Member of the Native American Advisory Council-El Pomar, Chairman of the Garden of the Gods Powwow Committee and Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Colorado Springs Indian Center. Jim is grateful to our community Elders for their vision, guidance and direction to create the Colorado Springs Indian Center. The CSIC is committed to developing programs for our families based on our community “Vision Book,” with the ultimate goal of fostering healthy Mind, Body and Spirit. We hope that through building relationships with local non-profit organizations, partnering, we can help to bring needed resources into the local Native American community.
