Community Dinners
The Colorado Springs Indian Center sponsors a community dinner at Trinity United Methodist Church one Saturday each month. The public is welcome to come to the meeting. (We do ask that you bring a food donation for the Food Pantry). The community dinners are pot lucks where we all share our favorite dishes. Bring your favorite to share. (If you can’t make up your mind or don’t have time, come and help sample the others!)
This community dinner provides the opportunity for us to get to know each other better. The agenda for the meeting includes:
Opening Ceremony and Blessing Announcements about the activities of the CSIC Dinner Program (Presenters provide cultural education, or profile the services of a local agency)
The Dinners are coordinated by Marva Black Elk, the CSIC Volunteer. If you would like to help with the dinners, please contact her at 719-599-8630. Marva can also let you know what the main dish will be so you can bring side dishes to the Community dinner!
The main dish is prepared each month by Sandy Turcott and her team from the Tecumseh Center. This is an awesome commitment by this organization and we are so thankful to have their support!!
Please check the calendar and the Posts for the Saturday dates for the community dinners for the coming months.
