Where are you located? CSIC has offices in Trinity United Methodist Church at 701 N. 20th Street Colorado Springs, CO 80904
When are you open? The Colorado Springs Indian Center has volunteers available M-W-F mornings from 8-Noon.
Where do I find the CSIC Vision book? The Vision Book is located in the About CSIC page (right side of the website).
How do I request approval for a CSIC sponsored activity or project? Please complete the Activity Proposal Packet (on the About CSIC page (right side of the website) and send it to any board member or to info@coloradospringsindiancenter.com. Our fax is 719-548-9407.
If I would like to volunteer, how do I let someone know? Please call, send an email, or leave a reply.
If I have a concern (or an issue), how do I let someone know? The best way to do that is to send an email. Someone will contact you.
I would like to teach a craft class—how do I get started? Please contact the office either by phone or by email.
When do you meet? Our normal meeting times are the third Saturday of the month, when we have a community dinner in the dining room of the church. This is a pot luck so bring something to share.
How can I find out what’s going on in the Native community. Try our Events Calendar. The link is at the top of the webpage. If people send us coming events, we post them in the calendar. There is also a link to the Powwow website under the Pages section of the website (right hand side). It is in the Culture tab. There is another link to a listing of Powwows on the bottom left hand side of the homepage for our website.
Do you have anything on Native American Recipes? Please see the Wellness tab — Nutrition.
How can I find out information about Native American history and literature? Look in the Library tab.
How can I receive the newsletter and other communications at my home? Send a request to be put onto the email distribution list, by sending an email to the CSIC (or leave a reply below). If you would prefer to receive the newsletter by postal service, please send an email request with you home address.\]
I need a job–what do you suggest? Be sure to investigate the links and resources on the Employment page.
Do you have a food pantry? Trinity United Methodist Church has a Food Pantry that is open every Tuesday afternoon from 1-3pm.
Where can I find more information about health and wellness? Click on the Wellness link in the pages section. That will open a series of pages in that section that can provide you with a starting place.
Where can I find information about scholarships? Check out the list that is in the Education page.
Where can I find information about schools for my kids? Start with the information in the K-12 section on the Education page. If what you need is not there, send a note.
Where do I find information about what the Colorado Springs Indian Center is doing and what is needed? The Recent News section is on the right hand side of the website has a number of story titles. These are the most recent ones posted. Also, many of the recent stories are visible on the left side of the screen. At the bottom of the page, in the center, is a list of links. Click on the CSIC Updates link. That will bring up all of the stories about the CSIC.
How do I submit a story or photos to the newsletter? Contact the CSIC office by phone or by email.
How do I find stories that were posted awhile back? Check the list of tabs at the bottom of the webpage. When you click on each of those they will bring up the stories in those categories. Also try clicking on the “older entries” in the story postings.
Where can I find the Board of Directors? Under the pages section, see About CSIC. There you will find our strategic objectives, and a bio for each of the members of the Board of Directors. If you want to send a message, just leave a reply.
